Counselor convincing me to stay and take IB senior year. Reason I dont want to take it because senior year is to raise up your gpa and chillax. Also colleges care very little about senior year. If im not taking IB, I'ma opt to take regular classes like statistics and library duty to raise up my gpa. What is the best decision to get into a good college?

Stick with the IB. It's extremely well-respected.

That really depends upon how selective the colleges you are looking at are, but frankly, in the IB, it would look disastrous to drop it because that shows colleges you don't think you can handle the workload.

Conversely, if you stick with it, most colleges will place your application in a separate stack, or attach a "flag" to it, and likely your chances of admission will be boosted. (Of course, it varies by college, but at some places its very dramatic).

So...I would definitely stick with it.

What if I end up getting a C or a B in that class

Man so confusing I hear people telling me to take it others telling me not to take it. Saying that senior year should be about raising your gpa and chillax.

stay!!!!!..!

Can you give me a good list of reasons to stay or not to stay in IB.
I currently have a 3.7wgpa and 1730 on Sat. Want to attend UCSD, UCB, or UCLA or low tier uc's.

hmmm... idk if a 1730 is enough for the ucs.

really, alot of my friends score like 1600 and still get in or average 1500

If you've stayed in IB this long, I'm sure you can do it for another few months.
And it's not true that colleges don't care. If you let your grades slide dangerously, you can get denied from even in-state schools. California probably more so.
