I am interested in engineering - perhaps materials science or mechanical - and have been accepted to the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a full ride, as well as to Carnegie Mellon, UNC, Georgia Tech and UVA. I'm at a loss as to what to do. Obviously UW is a great deal (I'm out-of-state for all schools) but would the other schools have more influence in the job market or with grad schools? I'm a serious student but out-going and fun, too.

Pick a school that specializes in engineering or whatever it is you are interested or passionate about pursuing. A school that has a high reputation for that particular field. Once you figure out which schools cater to your passion, figure out which school is the most affordable and go from there.
