I can't do it

Saying you cant do it will get you no where. Study as hard as you can. If it is the mentality of the test that is screwing you over, check with a doctor or psychologist who can help you learn how to focus.

Speaking from a former below-1800’er. In fact, I got a 1480 first time I took the SAT. I worked and worked and upped that to an 1890 last January. Work a little every day, and you’ll get better. Saying you can’t do it will get you no where. The SAT is nothing but a goofy little college admissions test. ACT is a bit better but still, nothing but a bunch of meaningless material. Work harder than usual, every single day, and you’re guaranteed to do better. If that doesn’t work, get a tutor. Do whatever you can.

Good luck. I believe in you and I know you can up your score. Just try. And dont ever let the psychos on CC get you down. Just because these kids get 2200’s or whatever doesn’t mean their guaranteed the best schools. Standarized tests are only a part of the whole package that colleges look at. Think about you as a person, and the hardships you worked through in your high school career. Hell, going from being a 1600 to a 2000+ when you thought you couldn’t do any better could even be a decent essay topic!

Ciao

OP, I went from a 13-17 prediction to a 32 on the ACT. Magic happens. Put your mind to it and celebrate your small goals. And just answer all the questions correctly, because that always helps.

You CAN to it.

Doing well doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a genius- it just means you’re not stupid.
