Ok, dumb question, I know. But I want to type NYU's application because my handwriting is just not very good but I can't figure out how to do it with pdf file! I've tried making the form fillable but that just fails. I suck at .pdf stuff. Please please help me!

You have to purchase the full version of Adobe Acrobat. The [free] version that you probably have now will only allow you to view files, but not edit them. You can either purchase the full version for a price which allows you to view as well as edit pdf files. As an alternative, you may want to consider applying with their online application as it is more convenient for your case. I wish you the best of luck!

Seriously you don't need to buy Adobe Reader or whatever program it is to do that. I'm using my art program just to type in the information. I recommend using whatever you have. If you have any art program such as MS Paint on Windows, or Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator that should help a lot. :] Goodluck!

You can save the PDF as a word document and then use "insert text box" to fill in the spaces. It will just take a lot of time and you have to format the text box so that the border doesn't appear and that the box doesn't make any of the lines on the application disappear.
