I can't get approved loans at community college

I am in my 4th year as a 22 year old at a community college after graduating high school here in Rhode Island and cannot get a loan to get close to finishing. I'm desperate and in a bad situation.

I should have been done two years ago but my school has cancelled many classes that were required for my degree, were prerequisites for other classes, etc. On top of that, my parents are still too consumed with their own mental health problems. (And for some reason they make too much $ for them to sign off on a loan. I'm growing weary of just taking 1 or 2 classes every spring/fall semester and have them charge it which they can't afford.) I feel stupid for draining most of my cash reserves to pay off my car payments in HS when I was employed. I'm at my wits end. I am now officially a deadbeat and on financial hold at school for non-payment and they have charged me some large late fees. I am still going to classes, but cannot register for next quarter or get credit for this quarters classes until I pay. I'm tired and I'm tapped out. I have no idea what to do. Going to a community college without a plan or help from anyone has been the worst and most expensive mistake of my life, it has brought me to the brink of financial ruin. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS the community college in Boston is inept at helping me with my situation, and they just hand me a form with no explanation on how to get approved/ nor do they care to help make me become a full time student. rinse, wash, repeat.

You need to get a job, and pay off your debt to the CC. Unless you have some object of value that you could sell, or you can convince your parents to help you settle the debt, your only realistic option is to stop studying for a while so that you can concentrate on making the money needed to take care of this.

How much could it possibly cost to go to a community college that you can’t pay yourself with a job? I agree, take a break, get a second job, pay the school, then drop the second job and finish up, so one job plus school. Do you have any job at all? Finish this semester, then get a job. Then get another job (work two jobs). Pay off the school. Quit one job and keep one job. Work and go to school at the same time (one or two classes and you should be able to easily study and work because one or two classes isn’t full time anyway).

Are you resident of RI and attending MA community college as OOS student?

Ah, so attending as an OOS student, then yes I get the higher cost but what can you do but pay your own way (especially at age 22?)
