I can't study!

I can't study! It's extremely odd, but the time when I'm most focused to study is 5 AM - the day of the test!

I am a sophomore in high school and have a rigorous schedule. I like to be organized and alleviate stress, so whenever I have a test I plan out what to study, when, etc. . . For example, if I have a test on Friday, and there are 3 chapters to be studied, 1 on monday, 1 on tuesday, 1 on wednesday, Thursday review.

The problem is the day before the test. I can't bring myself to focus and study the material given. It seems boring or dry. Sometimes I'll do other homework instead. But I just can't study. Eventually I give up and resign myself to wake up early and study. I do focus then, and do fine on the tests, but I'd rather study the night before. Any tips?

Also, when studying, I can't always focus on material, but I could do practice questions for hours. Any way to change my mindset so I can focus on actually learning the information instead of just doing practice questions?

I can’t concentrate too,the time i can only study efficiently is 11:30-12:00P.M,i spent the whole afternoon just doing 4 math problems,i don’t know what happened…

Lol, I have math and chemistry midterms tomorrow so I’m sleeping now and waking up at 5:30 to study . . . no midterms today and I still have a chapter of chem to learn.

StichInTime - I do try and space out the chapters to study beforehand, but I need to do a final review the day before, and that is when I procrastinate. Also, when I have a lot of time, like a day, to study, I won’t until the very end.

I’m the same way. I’ve been staying up until 5 am the last 7 nights. :D

Food for Thought (Pun intended):
