Why can't someone invent a machine that scans your math and CR answer sheets as you leave so that you can know immedeatly how you did?! I can't wait 3 more weeks to know!

I thought they use a machine!

there is already a machine and it won't be necessary.
Collegeboard could make the process extremely fast and send you the scores the next day and scan it as you said but they give the time to make you anxious.
Plus, the scanning machine have the answers in there meaning the people in the university have the answers who could be untrustworthy.

I know, it was more of a hypothetical solution to my woes.
Oh well.
When are scores available online? And do you you have to pay to view them online early like for the ACT?

feb 15th at 5am eastern

what is stupid is that the late deadline for the march SAT is February 14! and scores are released the next day!

^^^ college board is a monopoly

you know what i cant take: how top colleges want every single person to be "well-rounded", to do sports, clubs, volunteer, AND on top of that maintain gpa and SAT scores. too much stress! just allow ppl to specialise, that'd be so much better.

thats why on average american kids are dumber than the rest of the world. cuz collegeboard is forcing us to go out and play sports and debate and model congress all day long. lol. how can you learn calculus after sweating like a pig? lol.

time management

y'know, I thought the "well-rounded" model was not so "in" anymore-- don't they want kids who are wicked committed to a small, yet still diverse selection of activities? (this is what I tell myself anyway- I don't do sports or student gov or anything like that, but I spend a TON of time on theatre and music, and I'm very dedicated...haha)

Yes, what I've been hearing from admissions for several years is "well-rounded student bodies, not well-rounded students." In other words, get invovled, but it's better to passionately pursue a few things than to fill space.
