I can't think about anything else

I’m way too excited for the fall.

me too. I think my senioritis is in full swing though, which is definitely not so good.

same here! I love learning but its really bothering me when teachers give us unnecessary assignments. I had a project and an essay assigned OVER THE WEEKEND along with other homework. are you kidding me?! haha normally I would just groan and do it, but it’s just insulting now that it’s spring semester  I’ve got senioritis BAD people and it’s too early for me to just check out!! good luck everyone, we can do this!! ;)

I should add that I haven’t even been accepted so that’s probably a good incentive to work hard, but still-it’s very difficult. I’m just ready to graduate!!

lorrainedelis- Totally feelin ya. What a waste of your time.
I was reading some of my journals from early December- SO depressing. I was so hopeless.
I’ve started only doing work that I think matters. I’m reading for fun, and I read all assigned reading, but I let myself slack in French and Calc. I plan on receiving 0 AP Credits. I spend all my free periods in the Art room, even though my AP Art portfolio is nearly complete. I’m starting to skate more. Oh yea, and I sleep. ALL THE TIME. It’s beautiful. It’s interesting to see what I actually care about and what is just filler.

I agree, I’m starting to realize what I actually enjoy, and what I dont. As for reading again, I haven’t had a chance to in forever. I used to read something like a book a week in middle school, but the last book I read for fun was during thanksgiving break.

It was pretty good though, from one of our Barnard Alumna; Ann Brashares. “My Name is Memory”. In my opinion her best has been “The Last Summer (Of you and me)” (which I highly recommend).

I have a huge pile of books that are waiting for me to have the time to read them; “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” (and the other two books in that series), “Juliet”, “Half The Sky” , “My Mother She Killed Me, My Father He Ate Me”, “Isolde”, and a collection of five Anna Quindlen books my father bought me upon my acceptance.

What have you been reading? What are your favorite books? (I’m basically the biggest book enthusiast and my list of recommendations could go on for ages)

Currently enjoying The Glass Castle by Barnard grad Janette Walls. It’s really intense.

I am so incredibly jealous of all of you second semester seniors! My semester doesn’t end until the end of exams in two weeks, so I can’t let senioritis get to me yet!
