Which Back to the Future is your favorite, Tore?

I like all three...That is why I was happy to get the trilogy on DVD for Christmas a year ago :)

Nice! What other movies do you like? What's your favorite genre? Le french ;)?

Actually, I mostly like movies that are very different from Back to the Future.

I like many movies, but I was just thinking about A Room with A View today. Daniel Day-Lewis is so good in it lol

Never heard of Room with A View.

I'm trying to think of my favorite movies, but in all honesty I didn't like movies until this year.

I can't wait till the ivy film festival!

I agree about the Ivy Film Festival :)

What do you mean, "I didn't like movies until this year"?

I mean, I had too much energy to sit through a whole movie. I thought fiction was pointless.

Fiction--pointless? You need help ;)

I kid.

I don't remember: do you do any creative writing?

I don't, but I've always wanted to. I should just try it sometime.

Yeah, then you can send it to me. I'll "constructively criticize" it.

You mean be sarcastic :)

If I did write, I wouldn't let anyone see my work. I would be like Salinger lol

Fine. See how long you can keep that up. I'm sure you'll be aching for confidence boosting comments soon enough.

Salinger's still at it.

You're a wonderful writer, you know that. You're bound to be published. See, doesn't it feel good to hear stuff like that?

Oh, stop.

Really, though. I could make do without :)

I couldn't. And I'm not being sarcastic. I rely on other people's opinions to shape how I see my writing, my appearance, my personality, etc. It's absolutely ridiculous, I know, and I wish I had "confidence from within" but I don't. Hopefully I'll develop it when I go to college.

I'll help, if I can lol

You don't need my compliments. Here:

...
...
...

There, I just taught you self-reliance.

No, actually I took that "..." as a compliment.

Jeez, does everyone here do creative writing?

I dabble in it myself (short fiction, not poetry). Though I'm not majoring in it, I'm going to be taking a good amount of creative writing courses at Brown. I've only written one short story so far, but everyone looooved it--I haven't had time to get around to my next one just yet, though my small body of "fans" have been anxiously waiting for several months now.
