I cant wait to go to college!

Except i'm going to miss my cat. He's rilly cool and he sleeps with me. He always tries to sleep on my pillows. I want a dog, but i got a cat. Are there any dorm rooms where you can have pets?

If i go to college i'm going to put my bed on the floor and not have a desk or anything else in the room and when people come to hang out we can chill on the floor and i can just have lots of pilows. That's what they do in some places in the middle east, like india i think where they sit on the floor to eat. That seems like it would be fun.

I can’t wait to go to college either. I will kind of miss my bird, especially since I am the only one that she likes. I’ll miss my family, but I’ll make sure to keep in touch. I’m actually really close with both of my sisters, so I’ll see how I deal with that. All in all, I’m excited for the trip and an infinite supply of ramen noodles.

I like ramen too. The thing i’m not going to like is theres not enuf room in those tiny friges for any ice cream. It’s gettin late, but i’m staying up all night :)

A lot of times you can’t move the school furniture out of your room, just FYI.

Question: Do you bring any furniture or things with you?

^No, furniture is provided. and op you probably won’t be able to do that.

Most schools require the furnature thats in the room stay in the room.

They’ll raise holy hell if it isn’t.

Maybe you could ask for a room with no furnature or tell them to put it somewhere else. They probably have a place they can keep it for while you are there. I think it would be cool to have a room with just beds on the floor. It would be like a trapoline. You could get extra springy beds and bounce around the room.

Maybe there are some people who dont use furnature from other countries who would like to have their room not have any furnature in it. Maybe its against their religion.

I’m pretty sure that if you live in a dorm you can’t take the furniture out…sorry. If you get an apartment or something you can do what you damn well please.

Also, there are no religions in which furniture is not allowed. Sorry to burst your bubble but…you’re just going to have to deal with having a desk etc in your room.

PS, your bed will NOT be springy. You’re most likely going to be dealing with a pretty thin mattress.

our mattresses rule. just sayin’

So living in dorms is just like going to summer camp for the whole year. They should call RAs COs for councelors.

I kind of wanted to live in a dorm, but now i think i want to get an apartment.

…this thread is hilarious, but also a little sad.

It’s sad in that the op is clearly a complete ■■■■■ if you’ve seen other posts.

I can’t tell if he’s a ■■■■■ or just in middle school. When I was a middle schooler I was all over the internet making a fool of myself.

Most colleges don’t allow freshman to have their own appartments, just sayin…

Why does everyone who has more then 1000 posts think they have the right to call everyone who is new here a ■■■■■? And just cause i don’t know about everything in college yet, i’ll find out what i need to know. Everyone makes it sound like living in a dorm is really cool, but it doesnt look like it is especially if everyone keeps you up all night and they party all the time.

It doesn’t matter if living in a dorm is “cool” or not if you have to live in them as a freshman.

Not every school makes you live in the dorms as a freshman, but it’s the best way to meet people. However, a lot of schools make you live on campus for freshman and even sophomore year. Those will be your smaller schools, and then the bigger the school, the more freedom you get with where you want to live because they just don’t have campus housing for that many people.

Thanks RoxSox. I like your nick name. I’m trying to think of a better one and if you have any sugestions you can let me know :)

i said most <.< not all.

I’m betting middle school. I did the exact same thing.

A ■■■■■ in middle school is still a ■■■■■. The two are not exclusive.
