i physically cannot wait until high school is over, and i am at my dream school, Fordham. anyone else suffering from senioritis?!

BIGTIME! Basically since the beginning of senior year, since I've been thinking about colleges for so long! Fordham is my #1 school too, ambreezyy. I hope we get in!!

Wait... Did I misread your post? Did you get in EA or are you hoping to be at Fordham next year through RD?

senioritis is killing me... i know i should be enjoying my senior year but I cant b/c i hate school so much this year haha...college is going to be a blast. i hope i can attend fordham next fall :)... good luck to you guys still waiting on RD's

Dee_confused: If you don't mind, what are your stats? Good luck!!

my stats are below average but i think applying early def helped me.. i have a 3.7 unweighed gpa i take almost all honors/ap classes and i had a 1740 on my SAT's (bleh) but i have good ec's and good reccomendations... did you apply to LC or RH?

I applied to LC. U?

I got into RH...what other schools did you apply to? do you have any fallbacks?

Congrats!! Well, I'm hoping Fordham is a match for we with...
GPA: 3.8 uw/4.3 w
SAT: 1950
SATII: 600 (Lit); 670 (Spanish)
Recs: Great
ECs: Lots- President of three clubs, job at Smith Barney (brokerage house), Spanish tutor, volunteerwork at two distinct places since 10th grade, college level classes taken in Spain, awards, etc.

But, then again, you never know. Since I'm familiar w/ some of my friends' unforseen rejections and those here on CC, I'm kinda pessimistic about the whole admissions process. The wait is killing me. Anyway, I have been accepted to USF (University of San Francisco) and American University. Still waiting to hear from: BU, Northeastern, Villanova, UC Berkeley, and USC. UC Berkeley and USC are definitely reaches for me, so I'm rooting for the others. Plus, I want to go out of state.

I also said that I would live off campus if I were admitted to Fordham, since I think the LC campus only has one residence hall...and I wanted to increase my chances of acceptance. Guess I'll just have to keep checking the mailbox... :)

Your stats are def better then mine but yeah once again the whole college process is so unpredictable no one can know for sure.. but i hope you def get accepted... since you got into some other very good schools why do you want to got to Fordham? also if you dont mind me asking are your parents paying for you to go to school or are you relying on financial aid?

I want to go to Fordham LC mainly because of the NYC location. I didn't get into NYU ED, and I'm still pretty bummed about that. USF was my safety and is in CA, so I probably won't attend. I'm considering American, but I'll have to wait and see what happens w/ the other schools. My parents would not qualify for financial aid, and most of the schools I'm applying to are private, and thus, very expensive. :( Unfortunately, although my stats are pretty good, I most likely won't get any merit aid money, since it seems that colleges are only looking at grades and SAT scores for those. My scores are just too low. However, I'm planning on working at whichever school I end up attending to help pay off some of the high tuition cost.

Yeah I am in pretty much the same problem I have good enough stats to get into some good schools but not enough to get me great scholarships. I have to decide between fordham and a state school. All depending on financial aid...blah; so do you think getting loans is a good idea?

Dee_confused: Definitely...although, I'm not really sure how to go about it. Check their website--maybe it'll have some info. So, when do you find out about your financial aid package?

hey i think this would be easier....to talk on this. anyway yeah i got an early estimate package i was offered a lousy package only $11,000... blah. but i talked to someone in finacial aid dept and they said that i should wait til april til i get my real package before i talk to them about it...so yeah i am going to appeal the deal if my package stays the same... well im glad i found someone else who <3s fordham as much as me.... keep me posted on your situtation. so how much aid do you hope to get in order to attend fordham?

haha so i just re-read what i typed ignore the first part it makes no sense. lol

Well, I actually didn't apply for financial aid. Luckily, my dad is a financial planner, and has been saving for my college education for a long time. Also, I go to public school, so not paying $20,000 a year, or whatever it is, helps out a lot. I'll definitely keep you posted. I'm not one of the most patient people in the world (lol), so it's nice to have someone to talk to about Fordham...helps to pass the time and makes me less anxious. Hey, do you have a sn?

Yeah, I was kinda confused (lol).

hey yeah i have aim...what is your sn?

It's moopoint1104

i just IMd u...but you're away
