I'm freaking out. I don't really want to go there anymore, but I still want to apply early. Like I said I signed the form, I didn't submit the application yet (I think you need signatures). I am unsure whether or not the college will know I signed the form if I just don't get signatures...?

I would email the school’s admissions director and explain the situation to him/her. It’s not like they’re in the process of reading your application against thousands of other early applicants because I am pretty sure that the deadline is around Nov. 1.

Thanks for the help! I think we’re good though, because I just clicked on early action as the form I was applying for instead. The agreement disappeared. I assume it will not be seen by the college since the site said the institution would only receive the early decision forms if counselors and parents signed them.

^
Even if it’s seen, whichever you designate your application as will hold. You’re simply revoking your ED agreement before submitting your ED application and instead submitting an EA application, which is completely fine.

It’s only a problem if you change your mind after you’re accepted ED (or after you submit ED, but that would theoretically be less of a problem).
