Thank you so much everybody. I feel so terrible about this.

I would recommend retaking and sending the scores that you get on the retake. Turning yourself in could as others have said punish the proctor, and that is unnecessary. Just retake and send the honest scores in.

Okay you have seen the light. Take the test again. Use those scores or your sat. Really I think you should just do that. By telling act you might have everyone in the room then reexamined and as stated before the proctor will be fired. Really you were lucky because everyone in the room is not given the same test. They are all coded. It’s pretty rare people next to each other have the same exact test. What I mean is the test is the same but the questions follow a different order. When my kids have taken it there are 2desks between everyone. Anyway I think you know you were wrong don’t use the scores and it will be fine. You learned your lesson.

So should I just request to have my scores deleted? Do I have to tell them why I want them deleted? If I could just simply ask to have them deleted with no explanation I will do that, because I don’t want to get the proctor in trouble.

That’s what I thought, so…

“When my kids have taken it there are 2desks between everyone.”

Depends on the size of the room. Our went over capacity so it was slightly more packed than our normal desks at school. I could have looked over if I wanted too.

No, don’t request to delete your scores. Not sure if you even can; just don’t send them to colleges.
And yeah, you wouldn’t have gotten a score report if they caught you. A friend of mine cheated and was caught, he was sent a letter telling him that he was caught and that his scores were nullified.

Honestly just don’t use it, any attempt to tell that you cheated only makes the situation worse despite the “moral” move.

But then again being honest is hard to keep in this world.

Alright. Thank you everybody. I’m just not going to use the scores.

Why don’t you study and at least match the score. This will solve 2 of your 3 dilemmas.
1-This is your punishment and you have a good(probably decent as anybody cheating wouldn’t have a good score) score
2-You get rid of your guilt
For your 3rd problem, of her not getting disrupted by your behavior, I wouldn’t worry about that because it probably won’t affect her scoring.

you should feel sick. you not only screwed yourself over, but possibly also her.
learn from your mistake and don’t do it again

Yeah no kidding. And no way in hell am I doing it again. I’m not going to use the scores either. But now I’m wondering if I don’t use the scores, can she still get in trouble? We didn’t have exactly the same answers.

Honestly, if nothing has happened by now, it probably won’t. If you report it, it is MORE likely they will cancel BOTH scores and she will be screwed by your cheating. Take again and just send the new scores no matter what they are.

And you really can’t delete scores this late.

Okay thank you. I was really just worried about her scores.

Who is that tap tapping on my bridge?

Obviously a ■■■■■, didn’t even state the scores.

I got a 31 and I think she got a 32 or a 33. I didn’t copy the english or reading sections and I actually did really well on them (30 and 36), but I copied the math and science (26 and 30).

It’s good of you to feel guilty after having cheated. People make mistakes once in a while and owning up to the truth takes courage. I’m glad you have the decency to consider cancelling your score. some of the people^^^ have said really harsh things to you.

I suggest you request to have your scores cancelled saying that you accidentally had notes on your hand and you only realised it during the test. You tried to hide it from the proctor because you were scared. This way you can cancel your score (which is the right thing to do considering that some schools require you to submit all your test scores) without hurting anyone else.

You only live once might as well use those scores

She didn’t even do much better than you. You may as well just keep them.

I sure as hell wouldn’t be honest.
