First off, congratulations on your choices. For full disclosure my son is going to Conn starting in the fall.
I can’t offer any information with respect to Vassar.
With respect to Trinity, they have solid academics and a good reputation. I live ~ 20 minutes from the campus. My biggest issue with the school has nothing to due with the quality of the education it is the location. The campus itself is quite nice - it is the surrounding area that is a big problem. The section of Hartford that it is located in is VERY unsafe. I used to take my son to their campus for Squash lessons during the day, so this is first hand knowledge. After just a few lessons we went elsewhere due to safety concerns. I am not nor would I be comfortable sending any of my children to this campus.
I was speaking to someone there a few days ago and they said some type of big thing was supposed to happen yesterday, but even they didn’t know what it was! Now I feel like I have to wait and see what it is before she commits! I’m sure its a good thing, but dying to know! Congrats to your daughter! Any idea?
Does anyone now if Conn still participates in the Twelve College Exchange program, I just found something written about it a couple years ago. Sounds like a cool program.
My DS committed to Conn on April 11th and hasn’t gotten anything at all from them since we paid the deposit…it’s a little bit disappointing when you see how much swag other schools are sending out (even to just accepted, not enrolled, students).
That’s a little disappointing to hear. My daughter just committed last Friday and we were hoping to hear from the Dean of Admissions to welcome her but haven’t heard anything as of today.
My daughter doesn’t seem to mind and she is really happy about her decision so I guess that’s all that matters.
