<p>This is entirely out of curiosity. I'll start...</p>

<p>I chose UVA over Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Columbia, Notre Dame, and Northeastern.</p>

<p>Notre Dame, BC, USC, FSU, UofM, don’t remember other colleges…</p>

<p>Umich, Georgia Tech, Uconn</p>

<p>UF, U of Miami (FL), UNC Chapel Hill, WashU, Tufts, Northwestern, Vanderbilt</p>

<p>Anyone care to give their personal deciding factor…why UVA over those other schools?</p>

<p>For me it came down between UVA and UMich</p>

<p>Umich was eventually flat ruled out because we could not afford it, especially without the guaruntee of 100% met fin aid (around 90% avg for students but that was too little haha). </p>

<p>I plan on majoring in biomedical engineering
Both schools have top programs and Mich’s engi school is much better in general; however, the structure of UVA’s BME program is exactly what I am looking for as it is directly tied to the school of medicine and the BME dept is located IN the UVA on campus hospital. That was the main factor for me!</p>

<p>William & Mary, UC Berkeley, Northeastern (Honors), Virginia Tech</p>

<p>wanted to go to Berkeley but waaaaaaaaay too much $$$</p>

<p>i actually like northeastern a lot, nothing wrong with the school just wanted to go to school in a place with trees and fields of grass “aka the lawn”</p>

<p>finally decided between W&M and UVA and choose UVA because i hated williamsburg and thought it was slightly too small and also because i had that “feeling” when visiting UVA again nothing wrong with W&M and still liked it a lot.</p>

<p>I didn’t get into any other competitive schools, but it was my top choice so if I got in there wasn’t any question about me going…aside from $$ maybe.</p>
