I could use advice....

Thank you to everyone who posts here with such valuable information. I've learned a lot over the past 8 or 9 months. My son applied for NA, but did not get a nomination (very hard from our district), and is waiting to hear from AFA & WP. It seems as though his heart is really set on the NA, so he may reapply there next year.

His problem is that he entered his ss# incorrect incorrectly on all documentation to SA's, Dodmerb, ROTC scholarships -- everything!! He initially copied it from an old paystub (his employer typed it one digit off) and then memorized it incorrectly. We were working on the FAFSA form over the weekend and couldn't figure out why his ss# was not matching with SSA. When we pulled out his SS card, imagine the horror that everything is wrong!

Of course he is mortified that the error occurred and figured that none of the academies will want him if he can't complete the apps correctly. He wants to contact AFA & WP immediately to begin the process of correcting his ss#. I'm inclined to wait a week or so and begin fixing his ss# if he gets an appointment. Any suggestions?

just notify and correct where you can.
