I could use some cheering up

Hey yo guys:

Whats going on now is that I have two tests next week on the same day in classes that I'm pretty much failing due to making too many little mistakes on the exams that cost me alot of points. I had planned on studying all week and getting tutors (even though thats going to be a challenge since there are no official tutors available) but what complicates the situation is that I've missed 2 weeks of class due to illness and other school issues. I went my teachers and explained to them the sitation (since I missed turning in alot of homework) but they were not really receptive (which I kinda thought would happen). Im upset because Ive been working really hard this semester to do well and convince myself that I can get through science classes no matter how hard they are during the semester and not have to take them in the summer but due to circumstances and me not being the student who gets A's all the time thats not going to happen

what really sucks (this part is more of a rant or just something I cant stand) is that these are classes where basically going is virtually useless since the teachers dont actually teach or speak english well for that matter and these are classes that I need for whatever major I plan on doing. This theme seems to be recurring at my school in the science/engineering departments: teachers that dont actually care (and even say so on the first day) and thus I end up either not doing well or just feeling like I'm wasting my time. Idk someone just encourage me

You go to a sink or swim kind of school, yes? You aren’t going to find anything positive in the teachers. Try commiserating with some of the students in your classes… Might make you feel better, or maybe they can even help you out with stuff.

Look man, I remember your earlier thread on this…sometimes it is absolutely okay and GOOD to get a C. I did extremely well in Calc 1 & 2, but thanked the lord when I got a C in Calc 3. It’s okay! This is college…it’s hard to adjust to some situations like these…and adjustment may not even be the case, but at least acknowledge that these worries will pass…

that is, until you start a new semester.

What do you want us to tell you?

A. Study and do well.

B. Go get hammered.

C. ■■■■ CC

I am studying hard. its just being sick those past couple of weeks causing me to miss alot of work and basically messing up on the test is screwing me over right now. Im trying really hard to learn all of the information but its really hard when virtually everyone here isnt willing to help and there are no tutors duing times that Im available (aka they’re all during my classes) and the professor isnt being helpful. Im really not expecting alot out of anyone on here but its just could use some advice or encouragement. maybe it is time for a major change.

cool, then, change your major.
