I cured cancer and won the nobel peace prize! Chance me!

East Asian
3.8-3.9 GPA
2180 SAT

Accepted Colleges so far:

St. John's Pharmacy Program [($17,000 Scholarship) + ($5,500 loans)] - Also paying me $2,500/year to come
SUNY Binghamton [(Not yet arrived)]
Syracuse University [($40,000 Scholarship) + ($7,500 in loans)]
Wesleyan University [($54,000 Scholarship) + (No loans)]

Colleges I haven't heard back from yet:

Vassar College
Colgate University
Villanova University
Cornell University
Brandeis University

cornell may not offer u FA… but u have big chance on other 4

This is a joke, right? $54,000 scholarship? For what?

Uhh, well. It’s not exactly a 55k scholarship.
It’s actually 42k. It’s just that there are federal grants which bumped up my total award to 55k.
And honestly, I do not know why I got it. I’m just thankful that I did get it.

wait…so you got all these offers with a 3.9?
what are your ec’s? there’s no way i can chance you unless you don’t say.
but you must’ve cured cancer to get that much money…

Why does everyone look surprised?
Aren’t colleges giving more financial aid than merit aid lately?

@ dannav147: Wesleyan only gives out need-based aid (except for 22 international students in the Freeman Asian Scholars program). Therefore, the $42,000 is a result of financial aid calculations, not based on merit. Not sure what Syracuse’s aid policies are, though…

agreed with InRisingMist… 2 of out 3 of Colgate, Villanova, Brandeis… Vassar is selective as Wesleyan, so maybe, and Cornell is slightly more selective than Wesleyan, so a bigger maybe. likely 3 out of the 5, maybe 4.

So I got accepted to Villanova today.
Financial awards yet to come.

So anyone else want to chance me?
Oh by the way, my brother goes to Colgate. Will that help?
