<p>What do you do at I-Day and what kind of forms do you have to sign.</p>
<p>You get yelled at all day, get issued stuff, and get yelled at some more. Couldn't tell you about forms - it's been long enough that I've either forgotten or blocked it out. Doesn't really matter though - you'll sign whatever they put in front of you.</p>

<p>Just wondering: How many sets of ACUs are you issued? Do most cadets usually buy more later on?</p>
<p>Also, for ICs...does the Academy give you workout clothes/shoes? Or do we have to buy them?</p>
<p>You get 4 sets, and there's no need for any more than that.</p>
<p>Just a quick point of clarification. We will be issued ABUs (Airman Battle Uniform) and not ACUs (Army Combat Uniform). ACUs are just digital camo, ABUs have a digital tiger-stripe pattern.</p>
<p>I saw on some other thread that they give you some medical insurance forms and another drug/alcohol certificate to redo for those that did not tell the truth bc their parents were helping them fill the application out.</p>

<p>No, because you're not under the Honor Code before you start at the Academy. That oath isn't taken until the end of BCT. That being said, don't go around lying on official forms.</p>
<p>Just for the sake of fright:</p>
<p>Article 107: False Official Statements
“Any person subject to this chapter who, with intent to deceive, signs any false record, return, regulation, order, or other official document, knowing it to be false, or makes any other false official statement knowing it to be false, shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.” </p>
<p>This from the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).</p>
<p>Lying is a BAD thing...at the zoo you might get tossed out (when I was a dink, it was the rare case that you were NOT tossed out) but as an officer...you just get a felony that stays with you for the rest of your life!</p>
<p>In addition to getting tossed out and having the felony on your record, 107 also carries a maximum punishment of a dishonorable discharge, forfeiture of all pay and allowances, and five years in the clink. It is always better to be honest.</p>
<p>As far as IC stuff goes, most sports get shorts, bags, shoes given to them and then there is some kind of system for shirts where you just pick them up, use them, then turn them in to get washed and get a new one (tennis is different though, so I am not sure) what I do know is they will make sure you have what you need to play your sport.</p>
<p>And falconguy, yes, I do remember that room, it was one of the first things we did, you resign that drug etc... form and they give you the chance to come clean on anything you may have failed to say before</p>

<p>Note 1:
I saw a discrepancy between the printed time for Noon formation and the blocks on the schedule. The "time" says Formation and Lunch will stretch from 1100 - 1230. The blocks indicate 1130 - 1300. Thus, the formation may be at 1110 or 1140, depending on which is correct.</p>
<p>Note 2: Although it says TAPS is 2100, the Basics will be permitted to watch the fireworks. TAPS will really be after the fireworks are over and they return to their rooms.</p>

<p>Looking at this (even though I have no first hand experience) BCT looks like it could be fun if you are in really good shape, and you get passed the yelling and tiredness.</p>

<p>Yeah, I'm going to guess that they make it a lot worse in real life than it seems in writing...??</p>

<p>And, then there is.... THE HAIRCUT. Not a bigger for fencers since they had their gigundo fros cut at home. It was pretty funny, 'cause they kept rubbing their heads.</p>
