I did an interview and now I don't want to apply...

I had an interview with george washington...however since then I've gotten some acceptances that are from schools I'd rather go to

but since I had a one-on-one interview with someone I kind of feel guilty about not applying...should I still apply?

If there are other financially viable schools that top GW on your list, why bother? It’s one less person to evaluate. No hurt feelings on their part.

Yes, if you don’t like the school now, don’t apply. Saying this as an alum of GWU’s grad school.

You had an interview but didn’t apply? Do you mean you want to withdraw your application and/or it’s not yet finished?

I agree…they have your money…no skin of their nose…don’t waste your time with additional application supplements (if that’s what you’re talking about)…then it doesn’t waste their time either. If you would NOT attend, might as well withdraw (provided you’re SURE SURE SURE…think how you’ve just changed your mind…it happens a LOT…what if it changes BACK later?..oh WHY didn’t I just finish that application?..there is a lot of stress/flux right now…and what if they gave you a full ride…would that change your mind?..so don’t mess up your chances unless you’re SURE). Luck

Don’t waste your time when you KNOW you’re not going to go there.

Besides, my friend interviewed at colleges but never applied to them. Just think of it as good interview practice. ;)

Will your interviewer worry about it if he has to deny you admission even if he has interviewed you? Will he think it rude?

Of course not.

If you have already been admitted to schools you prefer to attend over GW, and you can afford to attend one of them, then why go through the wasted motion…and why make the GW admissions committee go through the wasted motion as well–

congrats! on a successful application season. Enjoy your success and don’t stress over things that are irrelevant.
