Dear God. I'm so happy. I never expected this. The reason I retook it was to hopefully raise my math score to a 600, but the 800 in CR makes my head spin I'm so happy!

humperdinky....whats that supposed to mean?

I improved from 2120 to 2280. CR increased from 650 to 750. Writing increased from 670 to 730. Im so happy.

I didn't do as well on the Critical Reading as expected. How does a 690 sound? I actually dropped 30 points from my June SAT scores.

Do colleges take your highest scores from each individual section?

Does anyone know if the scores will get to the colleges before Nov 1? Trying to beat the deadline for EA on several schools.

Mainly concerned about the SAT II scores.

Thanks

I did not do as well as the majority of CC, but I am very pleased and credit my increase to CC for a ton of help.

I got a 1550 and it was my first time taking the SAT. I plan to re-take in December but I'm not sure yet. I'm applying EA to a couple historically black colleges but I intend on also applying to some other schools (Barnard, Emory, NYU, Fordham, Brown, and some others) later on in the regular-decison pool. I'm an African-American female and I've been told that makes a differecnce...How does a 1550 look for a person like myself (african-american, top 7% of class, 4 AP's, all honors classes, low-income, lots of community service in community and in Africa, leadership, and outstanding essay and recommendations based on responses I've gotten and the letters I've read from my teachers...) I know my SAT scores aren't crazy high like you guys but can give me an honest opinion about how my score looks? thanks :)
