I did not realize Mitch McGary was considering Michigan

With Duke and Florida in contention, it is highly unlikely that he will commit to Michigan. Even then, the fact that he is even considering Michigan is a good sign. Of course, landing him would change the landscape of Michigan basketball, instantly turning the program into a Final Four contender. The only reason why I can see him choosing Michigan is because he would have the chance to return Michigan to the basketball elite. Coach Beilein is a very good coach. With talent of McGary's caliber, he can do wonders. Of course, attracting a guy of McGary's caliber will automatically attract other top recruits. Here's hoping!

That’s not what mgoblog is saying…

ESPN and Scout say it’s Michigan! Won’t get too excited till he makes it official tomorrow. BTW it’s going to be live on ESPNU @ 5:00pm

^ that’s what I heard

I hope you guys are right. That would be HUGE for the program.

yea michigan has been on his list for a while Im not sold that he wants to go there but we can hope I think its between duke and michigan honestly

Every single source has agreed that it’s Michigan…

At this point, if he picks anyone else, it’ll be a major surprise.

who are these sources are they reliable?

They are reliable as it gets in predicting recruiting. Sites like Scout, Rivals, and ESPN make their money on being right most of the time.

I hope so he claims he doesn’t know yet and that we should not listen to anyone but he’s probably just selling his decision

He is from the same high school as Zack Novak. He also plays AAU basketball and is good friends with Glenn Robinson who is already a 2012 commit. So that definitely helps

Just announced he is going to…MICHIGAN!

ESPN Headline - “It’s Mitchigan!!”

This is huge for the program. Well done coach Beilein. This incoming class is going to be excellent and should pave the way for a return to the top.

Top 5 recruiting class, according to ESPN and ranked above MSU, just awesome.
