I am a high school sophomore, and I took 3 AP’s this year. I did really bad on the tests and now feel really dumb.
I got these scores:
AP CS - 3
REALLY BAD CAS I WANT TO GO INTO CS WHEN I GROW UP
AP Bio - 3
AP Environmental Science - 4
WHAT DO I DO???
Should I retake cs?
The majority of students get a 3 on most AP tests. You are an average good student who took maybe a couple too many AP classes as a sophomore.
As a note of comparison, honors students at our school take honors bio, honor chem in 9/10 grade before taking any AP sciences.
Will this impact admissions significantly?
AP scores don’t really matter in admissions.
It won’t impact US college admissions because AP scores aren’t factored into admission decisions. You self report AP scores upon admission and claim credit if you so choose.
In the actual classes, I got
AP CS- S1 A S2 A
AP Bio- S1 B+ S2 A
APES - S1 A S2 B+
will the scores make my grades invalid
As long as your grades are good in these classes (A’s and high B’s), it won’t affect admissions.
One question, if I wanna major in cs, then will the 3 hurt me bad
Eh, it won’t be terrible. But if you don’t report your score, admission officers might think you got a 1 or 2. But idt a single ap score is gonna be a deciding factor in college admissions
