So today I took the SAT's. thought I did a pretty good job on it. But during the test I kept looking at the clock to my right to check the time. Like checking ALOT. But at the very very end once I finished I stretched my arms out, put my pencil down, l looked at the clock but on my way towards looking at it I looked to my left quickly to see if the person next to me was done to. Didn't cheat at all. Just a glance. Then I looked at the clock. But as I looked back towards my test, I could swear I saw the proctor looking at me with a judgmental look, like she thought I had just cheated! 2 minutes later she says how the Test is over to the entire room and collects our tests. She didn't talk to me at all or say anything about my test. Is there any way my test scores get cancelled? I'm worried they may

Haha was it the end of the normal test time? Or did she just end the test out of nowhere?

If they were gonna cancel your scores she would have walked up to you, taken your test, and asked you to leave. She doesnt have the right to stop everyone’s test early, so if she did you need to report that ASAP, like now.

Besides how can you even cheat off the person next to you on the SAT? For me, they distributed test booklets so that the person next to me had a math section whenever I had a reading/writing section and vice versa.

It was just the end of the normal test time. It was on the tenth section that all of that happened. And the person next to me actually had a similar question packet to mine. They told me afterwards how they’re booklet was like xxxxxx330 and mine was xxxxxxxx229 (I don’t remember the first few numbers)

So am I good?

I went over two seconds writing my essay and the proctor was right behind me, it happened in March and nothing happened.

So yes. ?

Stop being paranoid. You’re fine.

Don’t worry it’s just pure paranoia. Your proctor absolutely would have said something or collected your test before/after she collected it from everyone else. Something would’ve happened. 99.9% chance is you’re good.

Ok. I really appreciate the feedback. Than you!

The proctors usually dont care… they get paid like minimum wage LOL

My last proctor fell asleep during the 10 min writing section lol

I have met a myriad of annoying proctors, but I think you’re fine in your case. ETS is a service, so it simply cannot cancel your score without proper procedures.
Can I have a small question: Does the proctor collect your essay as soon as the first 25 minutes are over?

^ No, your essay is inside the answer booklet and will stay there until the end of the test. However, you are not allowed to edit it in any way after the 1st 25 minutes are over.

This exact scenario happened to me, I was really tired the day of the May SAT and I kept spacing out in front of me, and once I did it for a while, and then I glanced up at the proctor sitting at her desk, and she was writing. I am scared that she was writing an irregularity report about me “cheating” Maybe this is just paranoia?

@neetim yes, that is COMPLETE, and UTTER paranoia. Like seriously, you guys need to stop worrying this much, its unhealthy.

There was not a CHANCE that your proctor was writing you up. What would she say? “He seems to be spacing out frequently and for long periods of time, he is cheating by communicating with his friends by telepathy”, like seriously, no. The proctors don’t give a ***** about how you take the test as long as you don’t cheat. You could literally just sit there and not take the test and they wouldnt do anything about it, you m

@jadenio It may have seemed to the proctor that I was looking at the test in front or to the side of me. I really just hope that she wasn’t writing an irregularity for me for that. I’m very scared. I also haven’t gotten the “Congratulations on taking the SAT” Email…does that mean something?
