I have had a checklist of all the schools I applied to and their required documents, interview schedule, etc. So I (thought I) had been keeping abreast and smart with every little thing. This morning, I decided to do some rounds on my application status pages starting with vassar. I found out I had never been to such a page before
I checked my email inbox and realised I had never been sent the activation link (all my other colleges had sent me theirs within hours of my CA submission). I googled and found it and attempted to login the way I did for my other school portals. And got this message:
āAt this late stage in the application process, this online application checklist is closed. You will receive an email with details on checking your decision closer to the notification date.ā
This afternoon I got an email:
"The Admissions Committee is currently evaluating all of the Regular Decision applications to Vassar College. We appreciate your interest in Vassar and promise that your application will receive careful consideration.
We realize that you are eager to learn the status of your application, and our decisions will be finalized next week. At the close of business on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, you will be able to login to our information management system at http://apply.vassar.edu/status to access your admission decision online.
You will need your email address and password in order to enter the site. If you do not remember your password, click on the āForgot Your Password?ā link.
Again, thank you for your interest in Vassar.
Sincerely,
The Vassar College Office of Admission"
DOES VASSAR KNOW IF/WHEN AN APPLICANT HAS CHECKED THE PORTAL AND DOES NOT DOING SO JEOPARDIZE CHANCES OF ADMISSION? (Do they weigh/ track interest?)
