On the essay, I was writing a concluding sentence and had to stop in the middle of it when the proctor called time. Will this count against me? I know they say that its not supposed to matter if you have a conclusion or not, but is that accurate? Will they take notice that I stopped dead in the middle of my final sentence?

i was taught to never leave something in the middle because that sseeems really conspicuous. so if ur body's not strong then it will definitely take away from ur essay
But if ur intor and body do the job something like that never goes agains you.

It shouldn't matter. I got a very good score in spite of having only finished one sentence of my conclusion.

Similar question: I think I had a fairly strong intro and body, but I ran out of space for the conclusion. Will they dock me for this?

Short conclusion is fine, but no conclusion will cause 1-2 points off.

i doubt it
unless it's really abrupt
because i have gotten a 12 for having a simple snetence conclusion

holy crap, this is killing me. Maybe I should just not think about and wait for my scores. But two 1/2 weeks? Ahhhh!

Dec 21st... :(

The conclusion can't deduct that many points. What fraction of the second page did you fill with writing?

I had a conclusion in October that was cut off with about 7 lines left on the second page, and ending it there made it awkward and unresolved, probably responsible for my score of 10. If it made more sense where it ended, it may not have been as bad.

I dont know, maybe betwee n 1/4 and 1/3 of the second page?

lol, did you get a ruler? That's some fraction!

They grade based on critical thinking and writing style - if you had good ideas and communicated them well, you should be fine. This often means you need to fill up as much of the 2 pages as possible. But if you wrote strongly and concisely, it should be alright, even without a conclusion.
