I didn't get a ticket, what do I do game day?

Like where do I go? I intend to tailgate, but I'm a freshman without a ticket :/
I have great dorm room friends, what do most kids in my situation do?
Thanks for any help. I'm from the state of NC and have lots of friends coming down from up north, want to make it right!!

Hey southerndude. Just wanted to let you know I think there’s going to be quite a few freshman in your shoes outside tailgating. My d and her roommate were in same boat as you… They actually ended up buying tickets on stub hub ( due to cost this will most likely be the only time they do that) but my d said that a lot of students in her dorm will be gping to the tailgate and then figuring out where to go from there. I couldn’t believe all the tickets on stub hub and the money they were asking for them!! Good luck! I hope all the students without tickets still have a great time!

Keep checking for tickets. I had one friend who literally never got tickets during the lottery period and he’d just check an hour or two before the game and happen upon a ticket. It’s a different system, so I don’t know if that still works, but it definitely did my freshman year. It’s better for people who get tickets to go ahead and cancel them last minute than not show up at all.

Also, there are viewing parties and stuff like that with different organizations around campus. And if you go tailgating and are friendly enough, you’ll be able to find others in the exact same shoes as you.

I bought tickets for my first game as well and never had to do it ever again.

Thanks NJMom and AUGirl,
I bought a ticket from a fellow student for $40 (it wasn’t a student ticket) and tailgated with some buddies, it was great until the lightning action started, but so glad we beat the tar heels!! I won’t be able to make it down to Athens for UGA game but will enjoy nonetheless from Columbia.
