Just because you did not get an email does not mean you are denied. Seriously, let’s get this straight folks. Only small percentage of people got the emails.

My thing is…why would they only send it out to some students? And why would ALL my friends from my school who deserve to be admitted get one, and I haven’t? I mean, everyone I know who definitely could get into NYU got a letter, and even a few where I wasn’t sure. I am really confused by this whole thing. Do they realize how stressed out people are getting because of the emails? I think that it’s definitely a dumb idea, and they shouldn’t do it again next year. Too much stress on people.

dramajames, i agree with you, and i am speaking as the parent of someone who is accepted. This notification system stinks. I wish you the best of luck!

dramajames, I am in the exact same position as you! My friends have gotten acceptance letters too, even though I don’t really think one of them deserves it. I’m so confused too. Their notification system is so messed up, and I wish they would have just released everything on the same day. Or at least sent them all in the same format… some people have been getting emails, I know one person who got an actual letter, and one guy even said he got a call on his cell phone! I don’t know if I believe that or not because that just sounds so weird… but my point is, I hate feeling so ignored! I’d rather be rejected than in this constant state of wonder. But honestly, I think my chances aren’t good if it’s been this long and I haven’t heard anything. :(

No email today, either. seriously…like…this is getting very nerve wracking. why would they send emails next week if they are just mailing the letters? it makes no sense…

and the fact they have no information on their website about anyone except international students getting emails is ridiculous ughhhhh

Yea this email system is pretty stupid, not to mention ambiguous. It’d be weird if I didn’t get into stern. Got Ross pre-admit, northwestern, virginia, emory so far so I thought NYU wouldn’t be too hard. Lets see, In any case I’ll probably end up picking Ross

I am not 100% confident that the admissions office emailed all the international applicants, but I, as an international, have already received their email.
