I didn't get any interview calls/requests :[

Is that normal?

Did you submit your application before the 10th of December?

^ Because that was the priority deadline for all prospective students who wanted to be contacted for an interview. Sorry I didn’t include that in my first post, haha.

I submitted before Dec 10th but I haven’t been contact either. But that’s probably because Singapore’s applicant to interviewer ratio is high every year.

Ohh! I didn’t submit before December 10th…crap, was I supposed to? I submitted it on Jan 1st. Does that put me at a disadvantage?

As my parents say, you messed up on your application. Sorry, but you made a mistake somewhere in being chosen for an interview.

hmm, I submitted by Dec 10th but I have not been contacted either…

You won’t be at a disadvantage. For the majority of people, interviews don’t really give them that much of a leg-up over their competition.

Yeahhh and I submitted my app near the deadline (Jan1) and got an interview request about 2 weeks later. They seem to be randomly assigned.

It’s very strange. I submitted before December 10 and haven’t gotten one. Not too worried though.

I submitted mine Nov 22nd- no interview.

I also submitted mine before 10 Dec. and haven’t been contacted about an interview.

Don’t worry. Last year my D was not contacted for an interview and she was accepted and is attending Duke now. We went to a regional gathering during the summer for accepted students and alumni and they said they didn’t have alumni in our city to interview applicants. It is probably just a function of where you live and where the alumni volunteers are.

^Right, but I live half an hour from campus.

I didn’t either, but an alumni in my area said that Duke was really overwhelmed with applications and there was mixups/confusion with the interviews so many people ended up without being contacted.

getting an interviewer depends on the area you live in. I live in a rural area so the chance of having a duke alum near was little, therefore i didn’t have an interview. i still got in. Duke cannot take your application any less seriously because no one contacted you for an interview.

dont worry, i got mine today on feb 9
i thought they never bothered to contact me…

I got mine in December.
Good luck to you.

No interview here either.

Got mine two days ago, February 11.
