I heard from a few different people that CalSO wasn't worth they $210. Now I'm realizing that everyone who already went to CalSO got to enroll early for their classes. That seems worth it to me!

There's one more available date for July 5th. Is it worth it to sign up? If I don't, will my Tele-BEARS appointment be much later?

Calso is suppose to be mandatory, so whoever told you it wasnt worh it is an idiot.
not only do you sign up for classes you meet w/ an advisor, get your cal 1 card (student id), and a bunch of other stuff.

I can’t attend CalSO this summer. How will I register for classes?
It’s essential that you log into our website at http://calso.berkeley.edu, click on the “I can’t attend CalSO!” link, and let us know why you aren’t coming. Please do this no later than Sunday June 10, 2012 in order to receive critical enrollment information. Students who do not attend CalSO will be assigned Tele-BEARS registration appointments in mid-July. If you can’t join us for CalSO this summer, we encourage you to attend our Getting Your Bearings program on Monday, August 20 (more information to be posted on our website in early July).
