I don't get the first semester, second semester, third semester thing on the commonap

In the academics section of the Common Application, where it asks you to list the current courses you are taking, what does it mean by first, second, third semester?

My school has marking periods. 4 marking periods to be exact.

Although, all my classes stay the same throughout the year, except for gym which eventually switches to health.

So do I just write the same class for all three semesters (like Calc BC which is a full year class and thus is all four Marking Periods and I am assuming all three semesters in Common APP terms).

Do I even include gym/health in the common app academics section of current courses?

What about study hall? (I have a studyhall that is a lab and an extra studyhall senior year because they couldn't fit an extra AP Class).

good question. i think that maybe there are three semesters that people can fill out if they are on the trimester system? but people on a normal semester system just fill out two? that is what i am doing, but i am not sure either.

and i think you would include gym.

If you're on a quarter schedule, you're supposed to fill it out as if you're on a semester schedule (and then only fill out the first and second semester blocks on the app).
Just what I've been told at least.

I was just about to ask that question!!!! thanks a lot OP!!!!!

why have to include Gym????!!!!! that's stupid "AP Gym" <- wonder how that looks :D

i think you just have to put everything that you are taking senior year. right?

if you're on quarters, just do 1st and 2nd semesters. put "gym/health" in one semester if you only have a quarter of each.
i wouldn't put study halls.
