So i'm really lost;;

I don't want to apply to too many schools. im thinking of applying to ;;; Rutgers New Brunswick, University of Delaware, American University, NYU (my reach!), but also possibly Pace University, Temple University (my safeties)

I have a 3.98 GPA, Ive taken a ton of honors coures, i have two leadership positions in my clubs, im part of Spanish Honor Society, Chinese Honor Society, and NHS, and Model UN and a few other recreational clubs, ive been volunteering for two years now.

I have a poor SAT of 1600 exact. I cant test well and doing soooo much to improve! i havent taken any other tests yet but plan on taking the ACT soon.

Also, i am only graduating with 2 AP classes!!!

Will i get into any of my colleges? i want to apply as a business major and a language minor..

You’ll get into Pace, Temple, Uni Deleware without any doubt. Rutgers is a target school because their average SAT’s are near the 1700’s and its much higher if your applying out-of-state. NYU Stern’s sat scores are near the 2200’s but your GPA might help you a bit. Unless you are a legacy or athlete, I would say that your chances of getting into NYU are very slim. If you improve your SAT scores by 500 points, with your GPA you’ll breeze through these schools. Hope this helps
Good Luck

Thanxx!!! and yup im doing a lot to improve my SATs so hopefully i’ll get that score up. and yupp
NYU is definitely my reachh!!

Delaware: match
Pace: match
Temple: match
American: high match
Rutgers: high match
NYU: reach

Hopefully the ACT will be better for you. With your GPA, Even NYU would be realistic if you can bring your standardized test scores up, despite only having two AP’s.

Chance back?

Your GPA is good and it appears that you have taken a good amount of fairly difficult courses. Your ECs are not bad as well. Your SAT is worrying though (by the way, test taking skills doesn’t have anything to do with it - either you know the material or you don’t, the fact that you got a low mark implies that you need to relearn that material) but at schools which are not too selective, I think you have a good chance of being admitted. Definitely attempt to increase your SAT, take other standardized exams (such as AP Exams, ACT etc).

Thanxx guys! im also doing more APs next year so i will graduate with 4 now. and ive already done around 6 full SAT practices and have gone up to a 1750. hopefully ill improve more!
