I go to community college and I want to transfer to a university in the fall of 2011. I am applying to mostly state schools.
There is a state school that I don't know if I have a chance getting in though. I am going to need to send in my high school transcript and SAT scores because I only have 24 transferable credits and you need 30 transferable credits to not have to send in your high school transcript and SAT scores.
High school GPA: 2.3
SAT score: 770 (I know, it's really bad).
Comnunity college GPA: 2.88

Because this university is a state school, you only need a 2.0 GPA to be considered for admission. But because of my poor profromance in high school, do I have any chances of getting in to this university?

If you’re getting a 2.8 in CC are you sure you’re ready for a 4 year college?

Really Staller? If you don’t think that a 2.8 isn’t a good GPA, then tell me, why do state schools require a minimum of a 2.0 GPA, huh? You really don’t wanna judge me.

Why don’t you retake the SAT? Surely you can do better than 770.

I was not judging you nor insulting you. I was merely saying if you struggled in High School, and aren’t breezing through CC, 4 year college will only be more difficult.

A 2.7 GPA in college is a B- Staller.

Pancaked I can’t retake the SAT’s. I am not in high school anymore, I’m in college.

You can take the SAT at any time. If you’re homeless, 70 years old, and living in Cuba, you can still take the SAT. High school enrollment is not required.
