i don't know if i should transfer. what do you think?

I go to SUNY Geneseo. It was my safety school. last year I applied early decision to Cornell and I really wanted to go there. I like Geneseo, and I wouldn't be upset if I had to stay, but it really isn't what I was hoping college would be like. It's too small, there's nothing to do, and there's not a lot to choose from. It's okay, but I know I would be happier at Cornell. I'm also thinking I should apply to BU. How do you know if you should transfer? What if I transfer and I feel the same away about the next school? I'm scared.

Anyway, here's my info.
HS average 96
6 APs that I got credit for
College GPA 3.54
I'm not worried at all about the extracurriculars or anything, I've got that covered.
Who do I ask for recommendations? No one knows me.

Please give me any advice you have. I'm open to anything.

You can never be sure until you actually matriculate but it's a risk you have to take if you're serious about leaving your current school. You probably should solidify your reasons for wanting to leave and be able to articulate them well.

As for Cornell and BU, you yourself know that with a 3.54, you'll be reaching big. Make a list of schools that have the attributes you're looking for and apply broadly.
