I know many of you are in the same position, but now that I have to choose my college courses, everything is just so overwhelming. I'm also in somewhat of an interesting situation. In high school, I focused on the humanities (specifically art) more than the sciences. I didn't take honors or AP math and science classes (not because I didn't want to, but because my parents didn't want me to because they thought it would be too much). Now, having focused so much on art, I'm sick of it. I like doing it for fun, but not for a career. I want to venture into the sciences more, but I feel so behind. I do read scientific books and watch channels like the science channel quite frequently, so I'm not just saying, "Oh, I think I'd like to take science more seriously now and major in it," - I've taken it seriously all along.

I don't know what I want to do with my life, but I want to be prepared for whatever career path I choose. The careers that interest me at this point in my life are: photojournalist, doctor, novelist, aeronautical engineer, Imagineer for Disney, or something (I don't know what) dealing with the social/political/medical/etc. problems in Africa. Obviously, my interests are quite diverse. I know some careers require you to know early on that that's what you want (like if I were to decide on medicine, I'd have to plan my courses to fulfill being a chem or bio or etc. major early on, like the first year).

I know I'll figure it out eventually, but I just don't know what to do right now. What do you suggest?
