I Don't Know which schools to apply to.

Throughout the last two years, I was determined to major in Hotel Management or something of that nature. Recently, after a series of chat with some successful people, I see money as something important to me because I wouldn't be able to be happy in life unless I had money. It's not that I love money, but it's the fact that I love things that require money to purchase :) (i.e. luxorious vacation trips, high-end dining, electronics, etc.)

So I decided to follow the path of my cousin who is an IB, and try to become an IBanker. However I am also interested in Computer and Information Systems Management.

My GPA is around 3.0-3.2 (weighted -__-;; i slacked off in school)

And my current One Sitting SAT highest score is a 1980. Any colleges that I should try to apply to if I want to get into either IB or CIS?

UT-Austin has a Management and Information Sciences program which has a concentration in finance available, worth looking into

What state are you in?

I am in California.

Edit:: Southern Cali, LA County to be specific.

bump anyone?

I think UT has the second most alumni on Wall Street after Harvard.

link??? ?

well i need more schools then just UT -_-; and I'd be niterested in any UC's or CSU's

"link??? ?"

- "you are the weekest link". Remember that show?

You should go to SDSU.....It is a great school, it provides a great college experience and it has one of the best business schools in California. It is ranked behind Cal, USC, Pepperdine, and Santa Clara......but with your grades cal and usc are out of the question. And as for Pepperdine and Santa Clara they are private-religious schools so if that isn't your thing then don't go there.

Other options in California are UCR, UCSC (Biz-Econ), CSULB, and Cal State Fullerton.

And you could try for UCSB and UCI (Both Biz-Econ aswell).

Thanks any out of state?

Arizona State has a pretty good business program

Indiana works, they have an I-Banking club and it's hard to beat Kelley when it comes to overall reputation of the business program. They place lots of students into I-Banking each year. With a 3.0-3.2, you should be able to get in. You may actually get a small scholarship with those test scores, although don't count on it with that GPA.

Hehe thanks.. Anyone else!?

San Diego State - great choice. sunny san diego is the way to go.

anybody else?

Michigan State, Purdue, Arizona, South Carolina, SMU, Minnesota, Iowa, TCU, Denver, Florida State, Tennessee

well i'd have to say that in california you should have a good chance at any csu besides cal poly slo and sdsu (these are reaches). also look into uc riverside

for IB.. Should i get into a shcool of accounting or finance

Probably finance, but any business-related major would be fine.

mm ok then which of these schools do i have a shot at..
