Perhaps it is just the long periods of darkness and the complete lack of snow but I, for some reason, do not have any motivation for anything.

This is odd. I am normally 10000% set on my goal of earning admission at Cornell and meeting my expecations academically, socially etc. Recently- i have met these goals. Now, however, I just don't feel up to doing anything that will help me achieve my goal.

I skipped class on the third day of school this year, i almost didnt do homework just because i didnt feel like it, and I have no idea why.

Can you all tell me how you get through the long, long, boring, days of winter?

O believe me that happened to me senior year too. Just getting up and doing the same thing over and over every morning got SO annoying. During the winter I would go into school in the morning, stay all day to do indoor track, and come out when it wasdark. It was horrible...but u just gotta get thru it. Just have fun with it and remember that ull be in college in no time and u can have some fun before you ship off. Just enjoy learning, hang out with ur friends, and just do things u like. Soon enough the spring will come and ull find more entertainment in ur life. It's just the regular cycle of things and ull get through it in no time. Just try to find fun in ur life and get through it until ur fine again. Once the stresses of getting into colleges are over ull be suprised how completely relieved ull be. A huge amount of pressure that u forgot wasn't a normal thing that was on u will just be lifted. Try to make the best out of everything right now because things r sure to look up in no time!!

ya, your absolutely not alone…it’s a mixture of stress from the college process and the constant routine of high school…when the college thing falls into place then things will change rather dramatically!!! I was also really tired and depressed, but once spring rolled in and I was sure that I had some options open to me, in terms of colleges, things just changed! (wow… this sounds like an ad lol) well, cheer up cuz before you know it things will turn around and you'll be graduating, also the weather will be much more enjoyable…best of luck!! ;}
