its creepy to be at a party and not drink imo

It’s not creepy to be at a party and not drink; I bet you know a lot of people who do that, and just aren’t aware they aren’t drinking. What’s creepy is going to a party, not drinking, and sticking your nose up at all the people who are.

I only drink at bars and clubs [though I don’t go to clubs nearly as often]. I never drink at parties that are at apartments, including fraternity parties. I also don’t drink at fraternity parties that are at bars or clubs, mostly because fraternity parties suck and are magnets for really easy but good looking sorority girls, so not-drinking makes it so much easier to compete (to the point that there is no competition) with the dumbass fraternity guys who scare away the girls with their immature and ■■■■■■■■ drunk behavior. I feel a lot of sorority girls are desperate for a normal guy, but can’t go against the pressure of only staying within the greek social circles.

i wouldn’t say creepy, but you may feel more or less awkward, especially if you are grinding with a girl who is completely drunk and you arent…just recall that scene with Seth at the house party

Going against all rules of hand-eye coordination, I actually play much, much better when not sober.

“The social scene in college is completely different” my ass. Swap out a few words, and this is exactly what you say in high school when a popular girl rejects you.

Having a drunk girl grind on you while you’re sober is exactly why I said it was creepy.

you can be drunk without drinking

if you’re really dancing, you’ll be so caught up in the endorphins you’ll be basically acting drunk anyway (in terms of lack of inhibition) to be caught up in the moment but you’ll have enough common sense for other things

definitely one of those W T F; this is super dirty and not enjoyable moments. When you are drunk, none of these things phases your mind, because you could care less about anything.

I actually think the greek scene is totally like high school. It is for people who only know how to conform and can’t make their own connections, so they herd together and do the same stupid stuff.

So yes, I agree with you. I don’t understand the second half of what you said though.

Outside of the greek scene though, I think college can be radically different from the high school scene if you branch out to other people or go to events or join organizations where you can meet the right kind of [new] people independent of silly high school like cliques. It is the same thing if you go to a non-freshmen-infested bar/club. You’ll be able to meet all sorts of people who won’t care who your friends are or where you come friend. It just takes a bit more effort and confidence.

don’t stereotype the Greeks too much. Me I don’t dig the scene too much but there are some very talented people who should be commended in there, who do amazing things and organise incredible cultural shows.

I agree, but, it is a pretty accurate stereotype as far as the scene goes in general (there’s that word that nobody on this website understands… get ready for Greek people telling us about how unique and non-conformist they are).
