So last week I applied to PSU-UP and now I'm thinking it was a waste of $50.
I applied for summer admission.

I have been to two other colleges, went to each for a year.
I have 18 or 21 transferrable credits with a GPA of 3.0.
Then I took a year off.
I am currently in a vocational school for culinary arts and will graduate with a certificate and an A average.
I wrote a personal statement about my past difficulties and about how now I am prepared to be committed to my college experience.

In high school I had a 3.7 and got a 1340 on the SATs.
I graduated in 2006 for a local high school if that matters.

yeah, no reason u shouldnt get in. ull be fine. ur HS stats are the ‘right on’ PSU UP student, and ur college GPA is probably right on target for a transfer student. good luck

Unfortunately, transfer students to UPark must have already completed two years of full-time college coursework. If you only have 18 or 21 transferrable credits, that’s not equivalent to two years of college. You may have to attend a branch campus until you can earn more credits.

You can see the transfer requirements here:

[Transfer Requirements - Penn State Undergraduate Admissions](http://admissions.psu.edu/academics/majors/requirements/transfer/)

Well it does say transfer students “must have already completed two years of full-time college coursework.” It doesn’t necessarily mean the entire two years of credits must be transferable. Maybe you can still transfer since you have completed two years of college coursework, but don’t expect all of the courses to be able to transfer.
