I dont understand how minors work at FSU

My son just started looked into minors.

If you are a business major and you want an economics minor you only need to take 9 credits of additional economics courses (1 from a specific list) beyond the required ECO2013 & ECO2023 to get the minor. This could be your electives.

If you want to get a business minor, you have to take 4 business courses in addition to ECO2013 & ECO2023 from a specific list. The problem with getting these business courses is they only let the first 10% of each section be for non-business majors for most of the available business minor courses or you have to wait until the 3rd day of class if there are any spots. If you are an accepted economics major, there is a form that can be submitted to request business minor courses so you don't have to wait to register.
