I don't understand PMs

Okay, so I know how to go to my inbox and check PMs other people have sent me.
I also know how to reply and/or send PMs.
But, how come, when I check my outbox, it always says 0 Private Messages? Is this only if you send them? Or does replying count?

Also, how can I check my replies to PMs?

Hello MathGuy777,

If you visit My Control Panel > Settings & Options > Edit Options and find the Private Messaging section you will find a checkbox for “Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default”. By default this box is unchecked. Once you check it you will begin retaining copies of sent messages. Unfortunately, it is not retroactive.
