I don't understand these scores.

Okay so maybe I'm reading this wrong or something, but when I was in 7th grade I took the SATs. It wasn't the PSATs it was some thing through Johns Hopkins.
Looking at my scores I don't quite get them. Here is what the table looks like:

SAT Score Score Range
Critical Reading 500 470 - 530
Math 450 420 - 480
Writing 350 310 - 390
Multiple Choice 38
Essay 05

I don't really understand did I really get a 1300 on it?

yup. u got a solid 1300.

Oh damn.
I have a lot to work on. I didn’t realize I did that bad.
Seriously is it even possible for me to get a decent score?

This is why anyone in grades 10 or below (and really 11 or below) shouldn’t ever take the SAT. These scores don’t matter whatsoever, yet they’re making you nervous. Your vocabulary, math, and grammar skills will all increase exponentially as you enter and go through school, particularly high school. Throw the paper out and don’t think about it again. Take a practice SAT when you’re in 10th grade and you’ll probably see a 600-700+ point increase in your score.

Those scores are actually pretty good for a 7th grader, so I wouldn’t worry. You haven’t even learned all the math yet, so I don’t see how you could score well…

Honestly, what I would recommend is just doing the SAT question of the day from now until 9th or 10th grade… then you can start studying extensively.

SAT qotd only takes a minute or two

6th Grade ACT - 19
11th Grade ACT - 35

Yeah… don’t look at those junior high scores

Okay good this makes me feel a lot better. I was about to have a heart attack.

I was in Algebra 1 so maybe that’s why I got that score? I don’t know. I’m kind of new to all of this.

I’ll definitely start doing the SAT QOTD. Sounds like a good study tool.

For a 1300 SAT scorer, you communicate clearly and effectively.

If that’s any indication of your future potential, you’re pretty good to go.
