Why I was accepted?

I was accepted for the Spring of 2013, and admitted into the Washington Mentorship Program. I know there is a thread for those people already; I don’t have questions about that, I already know a whole lot about it from my own research.

My confusion is over my admittance at all. I only ever submitted my SAT scores from my junior year, which was a 1680, and that was because it was the first time I took the SAT and didn’t really know why you were given the choice to send colleges your scores for free. I never submitted my senior scores. I also did not finish my application. I applied via the Common App, which I submitted, but I did not submit the supplement, and I did not submit my payment. My school forms were assigned, so I know they got some of a look at what kind of student I am.

Does anyone understand why I’m so confused? This is a good school, right? Like, an amazing school, one that people fight over, right? So why in all the world, did they admit me AT ALL, when I didn’t even have the decency to complete my application?

I have this terrible, sinking feeling that my Granddad called in a favor. I told him I was considering applying, and he told me not to waste my time, because he did not consider it to be worth the cost of education(he’s an alumni). You see, my Granddad is a retired state supreme court judge, so…I don’t know, he’s important. I just don’t want to have gotten in somewhere because of who I’m related to.

What do you all think?
