I don't understand!

Hello, I have recently been admitted into a number of colleges and finally minimized my choices to Drexel University and SUNY Binghamton University.

I personally think Binghamton University is much better than Drexel, cost-wise and academic-wise. (Considering the fact that Binghamton is ranked much higher than Drexel.)
HOWEVER, my dad believes that it is much worth paying $51,000 to go to Drexel rather than paingy $35,000 to go to Bing.
The reason he believes that is because he has two leaders in his team at Lockheed Martin that are alumnus of Drexel. Therefore, my dad thinks that the name “Drexel” is much better than Binghamton.

Is his logic correct or am I just being irrational?

No, his data is too limited. I would not base a decision on 2 graduates. Look up ratings and reviews for engineering in Drexel (or whatever major you are most likely to pursue) and for Binghamton. What do you find? I’d base my decision on compilation of a lot of data about both schools plus how you felt if you visited both schools.
