Yeah, there is no way I'm staying home to go to community college. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me figure out what schools I'm qualified for.

Background:
Gender: Female
Race: White
Location: Southern California
School: I go to a pretty average public school but I have attempted to take advantage of all acedemic opportunities offered. We usually have a couple get into the Ivies every year, but it truely is only a handful--like a baby handful.

Academics:

GPA - Unweighted: 4.0/4
GPA - Weighted: 4.83/5
Class Rank: 1-valedictorian
Class Size: 700

Scores:

SAT I Math: 720
SAT I Critical Reading: 710
SAT I Writing: 700
I know they're not good and I was disappointed, but I was also sick with a fever of 102. I'm retaking it in October.
I'm taking the ACT and three SAT IIs in June

Class Schedule:

I've gotten straight A's so I'm not gonna put grades next to each course.

Fresman Year:
Honors Biology
Honors English
Honors Geometry
Spanish I
AP Human Geography
-(only AP available for freshman)
Tennis

Summer:
Health and Driver's Ed (school requirements)

Sophmore:
Honors English
Honors Alg II/Trig
Spanish II
Video
-(Practical Arts graduation requirement)
AP European History
AP Chemistry
-(those two are the only APs available to sophmores)
Tennis

Junior:
Honors Pre-Calculus
Spanish III
AP U.S. History
AP English Language and Composition
AP Biology
Cinema Appreciation at the local community college
-(graduation requirement for Fine Arts...obviously art is not my niche)
Tennis

Summer:
English 102 at the local communtiy college (I would take AP Literature during the year, but the teacher is HORRIBLE--never gives back essays, doesn't take priority in her teaching--and I really want to actually learn something since writing is going to be extremely important for all of my other classes and for college.)

Senior (projected):
Honors Economics
AP Government
AP Calculus BC
AP Statistics
AP Physics
AP World History
English 103 at the local community college (same reasons for taking English 102)
Tennis
QUESTION: Should I take AP Spanish? Spanish is not my strong suit at all and I really struggle in it but I think knowing a second language is vital today, especially living in Southern California.

Extracurriculars:

-Key Club (9,10,11,12)
leadership positions both sophmore and junior year
president next year

-City organized Summer Camp going into my sophmore year: 140 hours
-Volunteen program in my city since freshman year: We do various city-wide projects year round.
-Key Club activities: We organize annual events around the city associated soley with our club and we are considered the most organized and most active Key Club in our community of about 7 participating schools.

Other:
I had abdominal surgery to remove a tumor my sophmore year and was out of school for over a month. This experience is what influenced my decision to volunteer at the hospital and lead the fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

I was wondering my chances at UC's (mainly UCLA, UCBerkley, UCSD, UCSB, and Davis), USC, Stanford, Georgetown, Duke, Boston College, Northwestern, Claremont McKenna, possibly Ivies (I know they're a complete and total reach-out of my league but my Dad is making me apply to a couple and I'd like to know which ones I should shoot for). Also, I would appreciate any school recommendations you can offer.

one last QUESTION: Sorry it's a stupid, but what is a hook?

Thank you so much!
