my main concern are my nasty grades. i know junior year grades are supposed to be good and i really blew it

I hate grades damnit!

do you think i still have a shot?

btw..i never took 2c...do i have to? or can i just take any 2 sat2's?

You have to take IC or IIC. A 3.9 UW is very good, and since two of those B's were in AP classes, I think it'll be okay. Do well on the essays and you'll have a good shot.

Communications major is quite popular at UCLA.

i don't get how you can have a 3.9 unweighted with 5 B's.

^^ yeah, i had a 3.9 or so unweighted going into senior year and i only had ONE B....

Franchise1:

Assuming you are a California resident,

UCLA: Match

You're almost guaranteed in...just take the math IC or IIC.

I believe they have to take the Math2c now. 1C is practically not existant and is integrated into the SAT1 math

franchise1 doesn't need to take anymore SAT II's. he/she already has two 780s in two different subjects.

but in the event that someone wants to take SAT II math, yes, math IIC is the only one that is accepted from now on by the UC's.

From the UC website:

"Freshmen applicants must submit scores on two SAT II Subject Tests in two different subject areas of the student’s choice: history/social science, English literature, mathematics, laboratory science or language other than English."
