I guess the "fate" card is being played because some just can't comprehend the "you-are-not-who-we-have-in-mind" card ... maybe it's just another form of giving out condolences.

And I'll agree with you, like HS, a percentage of us will not like the college we attend, and many will not be happy regardless.

There are just way too many factors (random or not) that goes into the whole thing.
Hence the admission game.

well i'm gonna make sure i'll be happy. and i know i will be :)

good luck everyone.. the future's bright!!

and theres so many things out there in this world.. whatever it is.. i love it!!! :) life's worth living..

cu may not have worked out for me.. but i'm still me :) and it's ok.. everything is fine :)

i'm not "trying" to be overtly happy..

it's just who i am.. this is how i deal.. i cried yesterday now i'm up on my feet today...
c'est la vie!

Same here- different school (Dartmouth), but I think all rejectees are pretty much in the same boat. One day of crying was quite enough. It's time for us to move on with our lives. It really will be ok in the end.

Me too. I hope the rest of us gets into a great school! :) We all shoudl learn from our application mistakes wiht Columbia and improve upon it in the future.
