I was attending my previous college for the the just ended spring term. For the past year, I did very good and passed with all A's and B's, and although I did bad before I made it up. I slowly improved to a 2.3 gpa. I submitted the transfer paperwork to another community college with the spring courses were still in progress so the transcript I submitted at the time showed a 2.3 gpa and "work in progress" for 2 classes. I was awarded financial aid at the new cc for summer term which I will start in about 1 week. I ended up failing those 2 courses and my gpa dropped to a 1.9 gpa. My question now is since it is my last term at the previous cc, and failed it can I avoid sending the transcript over. Can I get away with the transcript that I sent in while doing the paperwork and the classes just saying "work in classes" and just continue liek nothing happened? The reason that I wasnt able to complete those classes is because I moved 2 hours away in the middle of the term and I couldnt even withdraw from the courses. Aside from that, since I failed the classes financial aid will probably ask me to pay back the money, is there any way that I can tell them that the reason I couldnt attend the school anymore is because I moved? I didnt very good for the past year and passed all my courses. I am so worried right now.

No, you can’t get away with just not turning in a final transcript, you are always required to submit final transcripts. You can however talk to your old school and try to explain why you had to move away and therefore couldn’t finish the class, and maybe they will let you take an incomplete instead of the fail. However, they may not be able to do anything for you since withdrawal dates are pretty firm unless there’s an unavoidable and compelling reason.
