I failed to get into BizEcon.

so... what now?

No reason to continue, your life is worthless now.

so is "you'res"

how should I end it?

There's always the Accounting minor...

Transfer to Haas

im not familiar with the north campus majors, but what exactly prevents people from getting into the majors/???? the gpa requirement isn't that high?

Econ or Int'l Econ. If you didn't get into the accounting minor too, you can still take accounting classes to qualify to sit for the CPA exam.

If you're comfortable with high-level math, I recommend Math-Econ.

Wait, we have to be able to get into our majors? Sorry if I sound stupid, I just got admitted, and I'm still deciding where to go. How hard is it to get into Business Economics?

you don't have to get in to every major- just the pre-majors will have to apply to become their major. some majors don't let you just outright declare.

pre-biz econ, pre-psych, pre-comm studies are all gonna have to apply to be the actual major. if you're already, say, a history major, then you don't apply. you're already declared the major.

my friend whos bizecon told me about it before. you need something like a min 3.5 GPA in pre-bizecon before you're even qualified to apply to bizecon. but thats usually not good enough because its competitive and they only let a certain amount into the major per year.

Isn't there a Pre-History major? The requirements to apply for the history major is only ~4 courses and a 2.0 GPA though.

oh fine... but my point is most majors don't have a pre-major.

like english, or something.

really? then why even have it. if you cant meet that you shouldnt even be here. :D

I was told that econ majors dont succeed..

dhl3, the greatest troll the CC community has produced....

do you know more about the major? I'm interested in math-econ, because I'm good with high-level math and I wanna do something related to economics. But I wanna know about the major's difficulty and if the graduates are successful (aka if they get decent paying jobs...)

I don't know about the difficulty, but Math-Econ majors can get any job that BizEcon majors can. I-banking jobs, consulting jobs, and accounting jobs are definitely within reach. In fact, many firms like it if a candidate has great quantitative reasoning skills, and the math part of math-econ will definitely demonstrate that.

You can also do engineering if you want to do I-banking or consulting.
