I feel bad :(

I'm applying to a few other colleges but I REALLY messed up and gave the rec forms too late (one day before the deadline... I KNOW that was terrible). All my teachers rushed madly to get them done for me. Well, they had written recs for me before, and all they had to do was print out the rec and and attach it to the school's rec forms. But my counselor was so sweet and used a typewriter to put everything on the rec form.

Anyway, I just feel so bad after putting my teachers through all that. =( They said it was okay when I said sorry, but I still feel terrible, like I stressed them out. I've already given them gifts (I baked them cookies yesterday and gave them thnk you cards) but that was yesterday (the same day I asked them to do the 2 more rec forms-- actually it was 5 because 4 of them were 4 copies of the common app).

Does anyone else feel bad when their teachers have to rush to get everything done? Should I get them another gift for making them work more?

:(

I think they genuinely understand that you're sorry and that your cookies & cards will suffice. They seem to be wonderful teachers. Perhaps when April comes, give them another thank you and inform them of your college decisions.

Okay, that makes me feel better. :) They are definitely wonderful teachers.

on of my rec teachers called MIT four times because they apparently "never received it" only to discover on her fourth call that they had two copies of it by the fax machine. so, yeah, I think the dedication that these teacher put into students is just astonishing :)
